The mesh banner holds the video with excerpts from the conversation between Eeva-Maija and Yoojin that took place loosely from December 2022 to March 2023. The video plays intermittently when the sensor detects a movement. On the other banner surfaces the chapter titled ‘SLEEPY’S’ from Yoojin’s book As long as there is time to sleep from 2016. Both (originally promotional) banners are web safe blue. The room tone is recorded with a phone by the windowsill in Yoojin’s room in London.
In the exhibition their room washed with hot light in Turku, Finland, SLEEPY’S BLUE BANNER TURKU (Chapter 3 from As long as there is time to sleep / conversation with Eeva-Maija) was accompanied by SLEEPY’S (2018, vinyl decal).
